TWINS!!! (for a week)

Natalie, a very good friend of mine, had surgery in April and in order to heal properly she couldn't sit. In order to make sure that she had every opportunity to heal correctly Dani and I headed to Salt Lake for a week to help Natalie around the house.

Natalie has a little girl, Jaycee, that is just a week and a half younger than Dani. They got along SO WELL!!!! It really made what could have been a very challenging situation so much fun!!!

Natalie and I got to watch movies and A LOT of "Friends." The girls fought and played just like sisters, too their naps around the same time and soaked the bathroom floor at bath time!

There were a lot of people that helped out with meals and running to the store for us while we were up there which limited my responsibility and challenges. I am so grateful to all of them! Thank you so so so much to everyone who helped out!!!

The update for March!

March has been a busy one for us! Between trips to Salt Lake and colds and Travis back in the field we have had a lot going on! Some of the days have been really long. Dani misses Travis when she only gets to see him for a few hours a day. We have gone on a couple tractor rides when the weather's been nice and that helps a bit. I miss him on those long days too! Dani is learning more and more sign language and it is so amazing to see her learn and to see her realize that she can communicate with us! She now knows: food, milk, sleep, please (when prompted - and mostly when she wants chocolate haha) and more. Her napping habits are starting to change which creates a challenge for me. But she's a good helper when she is awake and jsut wants to spend all her time with Mommy! We made a trip up to Salt Lake for one of Dani's second cousin's birthday. It was a much needed trip and break from all the busy-ness we've had going on. It was good to see some family and relax a little. Here are some pictures of what kept us busy this last month. Dani has started using utinsels.. she holds the fork/spoon in one hand and eats with the other. :) We've found her sleeping like this a number of times now and it always makes us laugh! With all the driving Dani has actually been very very good! As long as she has a book she is pretty patient with all our running around.

We also spent some time with Kevin and Sara this month while Kevin helped Travis fix some things on his truck. We were so grateful! Dani had such a great time running around outside in the warm weather of Gunlock!

A day in the park

What a precious girl we have been blessed with! The weather was great a couple days last week so we took advantage of it and went to hang out at the park! Dani loved it!!!

Except for the grass... We're going to have to work on that a bit..

The swings were the definite winner though!

We are very excited for more spring days ahead!!!
